President’s Message
It is dawn again. The bright halos of the orange Sun had embraced the clear blue sky, it seemed to herald a change, With Autumn blossoming again and all at Kumartuli starting to bring to life Ma Dashadharini in those sacred soil moulds of River MaGanga, we know Durga Puja is coming soon. We here in Abhijan Recreation Club, Kuala Lumpur have also embarked on our preparations to welcome Mother Goddess Shakti for the 3rd year. After successful, celebration of Puja in last two years, the morale is high among all our Abhijatris. With the passion to work as a team and open up new opportunities for its members, ARC had successfully organised a grand picnic in greens of Cameroon Highlands early this year. This was followed by Ma Saraswati Puja on Vasant Panchami in early February this year. As we stepped into March, we celebrated Holi with huge spray of colours and variety of tasty dishes.
Last May, ARC took over the daunting task of organising a musical night with veteran famous singer Srikanta Acharya of India for the first time in Kuala Lumpur. The sweet lyrics of those famous songs have emanated and mesmerised all those who joined then. I thank all Abhjatris from bottom of my heart for their continuous support, active participation and commitment, which have led us to organise successfully such high-profile programmes, in addition to our regular events.
Riding high on the success, this year also ARC has planned to organise a very enjoyable 5 days celebration of Devi Ma’s Puja followed by melodious cultural nights. To tinkle your taste buds, this year ARC is bringing in an experienced Indian Chef to cook authentic Bengali dishes at the premises of the Ashram, to serve you tasty bhogs, lunch and dinners during the celebrations.
To make the events more joyous and memorable, we have already put in plans to organise certain spot events with great prizes to be won. Thus, friends get ready to join Ma Dashadharini’s puja at the green lawns of Vivekananda Ashram, KL Sentral, from 4th-8th October. Let us all get blessings of Ma so that we may rise strong and united for a better future.
